I’m a stay-at-home home dad with a penchant for doing things with my hands. Doesn’t really matter what it is, but I enjoy creating things. I learned a long time ago that I can accomplish just about anything that I put my mind to, but I’m also aware of my limitations. If I’m stuck on something, I make it a point of doing as much research as I need until I figure it out, doesn’t matter if it’s engine work, programming, electronics, or cooking.
During the day, I’m homeschooling 3 kids, which also includes getting them involved in my projects. My goal is to help them be as well-rounded as I was growing up, with experience in a wide variety of fields. I make it a point of raising both the boys and girl the same. If my daughter wants to do something that’s traditionally a “boy” thing, I’ll support her doing it. Same goes for the boys and “girl” stuff. All of them help out with cooking meals, working on engines, or just going fishing with me.
What is this blog about? It’s something my wife has been wanting me to do for a while, just some place to keep track of all the projects that she finds so fascinating that I accomplish. Included in all that will be fun little snippets of life from having the kids around and all the wonderful things that they do. Each kid, obviously, has their own personality and it’s always amazing to see how that develops over time.
If you see a project here that you like, but couldn’t do yourself, and you’re in the Lancaster, PA area feel free to contact me. Maybe we can work something out in building something for you. That would include repairing small engines or building things.
